Making a Referral to Elite Children Services Limited
We welcome referral enquiries from local authorities and professionals who are looking for a suitable placement for a young person.
Every referral is reviewed carefully to make sure we understand the child’s needs and whether our home can provide the right support. Our priority is to make safe, suitable and well-planned placement decisions.

1
Initial Enquiry
The referral process begins with an initial enquiry from the placing authority or relevant professional. At this stage, we will ask for basic information about the young person, their current situation and the type of placement required.
-
2
Referral Information
We will request detailed referral information so we can understand the young person’s needs, history, risks, education, health, behaviour and support requirements. This information helps us make a proper assessment before any placement decision is made.
-
3
Referral Assessment
Our team reviews the information carefully and considers whether the placement would be suitable. We look at the young person’s needs, the current home environment, staff experience, risk factors and the needs of other young people already living in the home.
-
4
Placement Discussion
If we believe the referral may be suitable, we will discuss the case further with the placing authority. This may include questions, clarification and planning around care needs, education, contact, health and risk management.
-
5
Placement Decision
A placement decision will only be made once we are satisfied that the young person’s needs can be safely and properly supported. We will communicate clearly with the placing authority and provide honest feedback if we feel the placement is not suitable.
-
6
Pre-Admission Planning
Before admission, we work with the placing authority and professionals to make sure the necessary plans, documents and arrangements are in place. This may include care plans, risk assessments, education information, health information, contact arrangements and transport plans.

Admission and Welcome
When a young person arrives, our priority is to help them feel safe, welcomed and supported. Staff will introduce them to the home, explain routines and provide reassurance during the settling-in period.
